The Australian people must make a fundamentally important decision. Do we continue the growing gap between the very rich and everyone else, or do we fight for an economic agenda that creates jobs, raises wages, protects the environment and provides universal health care and education for all? Are we prepared to take on the enormous economic and political power of the entitled class, or do we continue to slide into economic and political oligarchy? These are the most important questions of our time, and how we answer them will determine the future of our country.
The RepresentUs Movement is committed to providing real solutions for the big problems we all face in our society and across our communities. For this to happen we need to commit to an evidence based and empowered, but responsible democratic approach towards both developing and implementing policy solutions.
On this page you will find our principles, and the important facts that inform many of our policy positions. You will be also be able to read our policy positions for a number of policy areas that will help you understand what the RepresentUs Movement stands for.
These policy positions will provide a clear indication of our policy platform but they are not complete policies. Our complete policies will be developed over time by RepresentUs Movement party members who will engage with experts, those likely to be most impacted by the policies, and other RepresentUs Movement party members with many different perspectives.
As an inclusive political movement based on unity and community, the RepresentUs Movement recognises the importance of including the views of major ideologies in our policy development process. As long as our principles and important facts inform the starting point in all policy formulation and implementation we welcome all reasonable perspectives to engage in our democratic policy development process and our movement. The RepresentUs Movement is about providing a space where all members are encouraged to express diverse viewpoints, because we know through this diversity good public policy is far more likely to happen.
The RepresentUs Movement aims to be a microcosm of the best aspects of open and democratic society and to this end we have supplied in this website:
The power of us - the people - is far more powerful than the people in power. If all of you who visit this website join the RepresentUs Movement, there is nothing we cannot achieve together.
